River Terrace Earns Five-Star Quality Rating
River Terrace Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a member of Marquis Health Services, announced today that it has earned a five-star quality rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
In addition to continuing its five-star rating, the 82-bed center recently achieved a deficiency-free survey in its most recent inspection by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
CMS’s Five-Star Quality Rating System helps consumers evaluate which nursing home is best for themselves and loved ones with a scoring system based on three areas: health inspections, staffing and quality measures. A nursing home with five stars is considered to be “much above average” quality.
“Achieving excellence is a continuous process, and our five-star rating is a meaningful milestone in that journey,” said Samson Girmay, administrator at River Terrace Rehab. “This overall score, as well as our above average rating in health inspections and quality measures, reflects the consistent and individualized attention we provide to each and every one of our residents.”
River Terrace is certified by the American Heart Association for heart failure care and provides qualitative cardiac rehabilitation services. This certification recognizes the facility’s adherence to evidence-based standards in heart failure care, including program management, patient and caregiver education, care coordination, clinical management and quality improvement.
