What does it mean to be rated Five Stars from The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services?
The Five Star Quality Rating System helps consumers compare nursing homes more easily, giving each home a 1 to 5-star score. This score comes from individual ratings in three different areas of facility performance. Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have above-average quality, according to the CMS Rating system.
